Competing for attention in a highly traveled commercial corridor, this small retail building was designed as replacement for a dated and underutilized structure. This building was part of an on-going effort to improve and infill smaller outparcels within the growing retail district.
Seeking to consolidate a number of smaller retail sites, Verizon Wireless actively sought a newer structure designed to meet needs for accessibility, visibility and easy vehicular access. Finding few sites that met their criteria, Phillips|Sekanick Architects were engaged to design a structure that would address both current and future needs. The design team worked to develop a space that was in context with community design standards while at the same time, creating a facility that met the aesthetic and functional needs of the client. The open, clear span structure allows for the easy reconfiguration of the interior, while the classic exterior and simply defined entry focuses on promoting the tenants brand.
Focusing on addressing the needs of the retail environment, this building provides the owner with a space that successfully meets the requirements of most retail or business users.
