This new professional office building was designed to house Midwest/Trumco Insurance and Berkman, Jorgensen, Masters, & Stafman Accountants. Working closely with the property owners, programmatic requirements were met by creating separate work areas for the accounting firm and insurance agency, while still remaining flexible for future changes or expansion. The design of the structure relays a sense of professionalism while blending forms, shapes, and materials characteristic of the surrounding residential community. Materiality and lighting studies led to the integration of earth tone materials such as brick, EIFS, and stone and indirect accent lighting that responded to the client’s aesthetic desires.
